What you’ll own:

  • Adjust machine components, tension, and pressure to specifications
  • Attach labels/lot numbers to finished product
  • Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment
  • Count and record finished and rejected packaged items
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials
  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products
  • Regulate machine flow, speed, and temperature
  • Stack, wrap, box, or bin finished product for transport
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur. Clear machine jams and report malfunctions
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Complete setup of pumps and hoses for each run
  • Handle the collection of recycling material and place in the correct recycling bin

Experience you’ll need:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to interpret deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
