What you’ll own:
- Adjust machine components, tension, and pressure to specifications
- Attach labels/lot numbers to finished product
- Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment
- Count and record finished and rejected packaged items
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products
- Regulate machine flow, speed, and temperature
- Stack, wrap, box, or bin finished product for transport
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur. Clear machine jams and report malfunctions
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Complete setup of pumps and hoses for each run
- Handle the collection of recycling material and place in the correct recycling bin
Experience you’ll need:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to interpret deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
